Rashida Selise Wilson
Rashida Wilson has long remained a forward-thinking and passionate thought leader with an extensive business background with over 25 years of experience in human resources, professional training, strategic management, and program development. With a strong background in progressive management and leadership roles, in various industries, she has garnered the trust of executive and c-suite leaders relying on her professional expertise and insight. Rashida has offered instruction and courses in management, business communications and core skills development, providing strategies on how to navigate the multi-generational workplace.
She currently serves as the Experiential Learning Opportunities (ELO) Director and strategic partner on the leadership team in the College of Business & Public Affairs at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University. She is a driver of business outcomes, with a proven track record for achieving maximum productivity with diverse workgroups and is well versed in strategic planning and creating successful program models for the development of leaders, collegiate students, and program staff. Under her wings, emerging and seasoned leaders alike have received practical guidance on how to navigate corporate cultures. She is dedicated to training mentees on how to transition from the classroom to the boardroom with the insight offered in her book, The Millennial Movement: Surviving the Corporate Transition.
Rashida has been honored to speak on platforms like the National Urban League Annual Conference, SHRM Alabama State Conference, the College Board Conference and the UNCF CPI and UNCF SLC Conferences. She has also successfully completed several distinguished leadership and management development programs to include the Harvard University Management and Leadership Development Program in 2019.
In 2020, Rashida launched Nehermiah Leadership Institute (NLI), an organization designed to position minority women for professional advancement by providing resources, insight, and strategies for leadership success. She also hosts an Ignite Women’s Leadership Conference serving women who are leaders in their industry across the United States. Rashida is currently embarking upon her executive doctorate in business administration.
